Upgrading the controls on your lift brings peace of mind through modernizing all components that drive the operation of your lift. The heart of the control system is the Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), and PLC’s in control systems produced prior to 2010 are no longer available from the PLC manufacturers. This control system uses the Panasonic FP0R series control, which is widely available through national distribution.
If you are the owner of a “Classic” style Advantage Lift with linear transducer position sensors, this control will replace the analog control with an all-digital version, and also replaces all control components located in the lower electrical enclosure including the motor starter, thermal overload and transformer system. Upgrading to an all-digital control will require upgrading your position sensors to the EQ Renew Linear Encoder, designed as a digital bolt-in replacement for you linear transducer. Early “Classic” systems were equipped with rotary encoders mounted at the base of the lifting leg, and require no upgrade of the encoder system.
If you are the owner of a Generation II or above Advantage Lift, this control provides for a direct replacement of the entire upper controls system, allowing you to upgrade without the worry of trying to find someone to who remembers how to work on a control no longer available, or who has the software to do so.
