The amount of time it takes to rebuild your lift depends on the vintage and condition of the lift. Early (GEN I) lifts need the legs bored to accept bushings where GEN II and above do not. If the lift is severely corroded, it can take an extraordinary amount of time to rebuild the legs and platforms.
If the cylinders are internally compromised by corrosion or contamination, and the cylinders need new barrels, an extended period of time can also be expected. In general, a lift that is worn but not compromised by corrosion will take between 8 and 12 weeks.
When you consider the lead time for a new lift can be up to 300 days, this is a relatively quick turn around.
